When I started Accutane, I expected there to be some tool that could help me track what was happening to my skin over time. There wasn't. The closest option was a photo album on my phone with no context, no timeline, no way to see patterns. More importantly, I noticed that dermatologists capture images during visits but have almost no visibility into what happens to your skin in the weeks and months in between. That gap is where Sebum lives.

Sebum is a skin companion app built for patients on Accutane and anyone navigating a long-term skin journey. On the B2C side, it gives users a structured way to document their skin story — photos, notes, patterns, over time. On the B2B side, it gives dermatologists longitudinal data on their patients between visits, so they can make better decisions with more context.

Accutane has one of the most passionate and underserved user communities in skincare. People on it are already tracking obsessively — in Reddit threads, in notes apps, in camera rolls. Sebum just gives that behavior a real home. Two dermatologist meetings are already scheduled.
